I am a self-taught artisan, and I take pride in my work. I want you as my customer to enjoy my creations, and to be equally as proud to wear them
Why JMo’S Jemz? Because:
my initials are JM,
JMo has been an email tag of mine in various forms for many years, and
because I just LOVE plays on words and JM and gem sound alike 😁.
I moved to Canada as a scientist and a Manager, over 20 years ago from the UK. In that time I have become a wife, step-mom and Nana. In Canada, I discovered my true heart, and learned a few things about myself along the way.
In my job, it was rare that I would end my day with something I could point to and say, “I made that!”. Being able to make something tangible, that will show someone they are special, provides me with a great sense of accomplishment.
So, I’ve been a lifelong crafter, and I have practiced with various media: knitting, crochet, sewing,embroidery, Silhouette/Cricut, etc. to name just a few. But working with metal and wire makes my heart sing 🎶 .
Being able to take some wire, or wire and beads, and turn it into something beautiful, is so immensely satisfying for me, and hopefully for the precious people, in your life, who wear them.
So whether it is for a custom jewelry item, or a name on a handmade purse, JMo’S Jemz is ready to come out of hiding.
